It was all that Chase could do to pay attention to the GPS and follow the instructions back to the hotel. His mind was all over the place. Mostly on Blake. Blake had been in the job a year longer than him. The guy Chase had replaced had quit, and there were no lack of rumors as to why. Most involved Blake.

Chase glanced into the rear view. Dane was in the back seat, right side. He could see the singer's eyes sink closed every few minutes.

It gave Chase some small measure of comfort to see Dane sleeping. He looked good. Chase resolved to keep his hands on the wheel and his mind on the job. It was an easy decision when it came to Dane. Never mix business and pleasure. Another cliche his old man had passed onto him in his years.

"We're here."

Chase pulled up to the curb. The valet was already moving around to the drivers side. Dane came to, yawning and glancing around at his surrounds.

"What you got planned for the night, Chase?"

Chase gave a sideways grin. "Watching you." Dane frowned, but Chase didn't give him a chance to answer as he got out of the SUV. The short singer gathered his things and followed out after. The hotel was a totally different one from the night before. Blake had swapped them out after the media coverage on the last one.

"Where's Blake? I thought he was on me tonight?"

Chase shook his head, and headed on inside. Something made him edgy. Usually he was more relaxed alone in Dane's company. He glanced back towards the car, the front of the hotel. No reporters, no fans.

"He changed things."

"He does that," Dane replied. He fell in close step. Chase wanted to put a hand on his shoulder, but kept his hands to himself. "You ok with this?" Dane asked. "I'll be fine for the night, Chase. Got a few girls coming up anyway. They'll keep an eye on me."

Chase had to pin back the feeling of jealousy there. "I'm cool. Job's a job."

"You take it serious. I should have you running things rather than Blake."

If only Dane knew, Chase thought. He pressed for the elevator, and when they were in, pressed it for the penthouse. Dane smiled up at him, that warm, cheeky grin that Chase liked so much. The singer leaned in a little closer.

"You wouldn't happen to have any rubbers on you, would you?"

"Sure." Chase felt a flush of embarrassment, despite himself. He started to dig about in the pocket of his sweats. He passed the tight fold of condoms over, forgetting to save himself any in his surprise.

"What size are these?"

Chase was at a loss for words for a second, before pushing himself to reply, "Just normal, why?"

"Just hoping they ain't in horse size or anything, thats all," Dane said, laughing a little. Chase smiled back.

"No. Just normal. Haven't had any complaints with any of the guys I've slept with though."

Chase felt his heart pounding at the candid reply.
